- [Instructor] When sketching symmetric features, it's always a good idea to use the mirror feature in sketch. So you always have to start with something to mirror about, so I've got a center line in here that starts at my origin. I'm going to mock up a symmetric plate that I'm going to be using. So, I'm going to just sketch an open ended plate on this side, with a couple of holes in it, and we'll add in some dimensions as well, to locate everything. Okay, I've almost got this fully defined. Alright, at this point I've fully defined this sketch. Everything is in black, it looks good, but it's open ended, and I want to mirror this about this center line. So I'm going to go ahead and turn on the mirror entities feature, and first it asks you what do you want to mirror. So I'm going to go ahead, and without selecting this line, I'm going to draw a box, pulling from right to left to get the green selection, and grab everything.
