- [Instructor] In this example, I'm going to show you how you can take model items from the part side of your solid works design and import them directly into your drawings view, which can be really handy. For this specific part, I've got a simple sketch, but I used the fully defined sketch tool up above to fully define every point inside of this and give me all the dimensions that I could possibly want. It's a little bit overkill, probably not what you would typically do in your designs. You might use less dimensions to design this feature, but just to show the point that all of these dimensions already exist, it's a lot of information and we're going to easily drop it in to our drawing view. Now if I switch over to a drawing that I already started, all I've done so far is simply just drop in a front view of this item. I haven't done anything else, it automatically gave me my center marks and my origin point here in blue…
