- [Instructor] On segment three of the exam, you may be asked to take a component or sub-assembly and override the values for the mass, as well as the center of mass for that component. Now, if you get asked to do this let me show you the best way. So, before we head over and modify that component I want to measure the center of mass, as well as the mass, for the existing assembly. So, click on mass properties, come over here you can see that the mass of this assembly is right here, and the center of mass is right over here, so remember those values, or just write them down. Now, let's go ahead and exit out of this, and let's go ahead and open up this 5.5 dash one sub-assembly. So, open that sub-assembly, and now we're in there let's go ahead back over here to mass properties, or come up under the evaluate tab and then click on mass properties. Now, you can see here, at the very top of the screen you can override the mass properties. Click on that, and click on override mass, and…
