Moving, copying, and rotating elements
- SOLIDWORKS has a series of tools built in for adjusting and moving sketches around. We also have the basics for just clicking and dragging our sketches or clicking on endpoints and dragging that around in our screen. However, if you want to get a little bit more complicated and a little bit more powerful tools involved, we can come up here to Move Entities. Click on Move Entities. You can select what you want to move and then choose a starting point, which I'm going to choose this one here. I'm just going to move this anywhere I want to on the screen. Click where you want to drop it and there it is. I also have the same option to select all that, click on Move Entities one more time and do an x or y coordinate move. So I'm going to type in 1.0 which is going to slide that over one inch and click on Okay. Directly below Move Entities is Copy Entities. I can select everything here. I can copy from or to and I'm going to choose I want to start from here and I just want to copy that…
