- To navigate around installed works, we need a few key tools. The first one is a three button mouse. So right here if I click, I'm going to click with my left mouse button and notice what happens is I get this little in context menu that pops up here gives me a few of my tools. I also get a little heads up display showing some important information about my part. If you've got a middle mouse button or a mouse that has a scroll wheel on it, you can actually click and push down on the scroll wheel. A lot of programs don't use this push down on the scroll wheel thing, but SolidWorks does. So push down on that and that'll allow you to rotate your model right to left or up and down. Now if you don't have the actual wheel, if you just had a middle mouse button, you can push down on that, that will work as well. But if you do have the scroll wheel, you can then scroll in and out to zoom in and zoom out, which is pretty handy…
