- [David] Now that we've taken a tour through all of the new functionality and capabilities that there are in SOLIDWORKS 2019 for handling meshes, we should be more forward thinking about accepting these meshes and hunting them out. Oftentimes we're working with existing geometry or something that someone's already modeled, and in the past, we wouldn't have been able to pull these files into SOLIDWORKS and use them to create reference geometry. Now we can, and moving forward, you'll want to look for new resources for STL files, OBJ files, and have conversations with other modelers who work in other softwares that you can now bring these file types into SOLIDWORKS. If you want to learn more about meshes, there's always more information on LinkedIn Learning. You can look at some of our other courses that deal with other mesh file types and 3D scan data like Light R Data and files like Maya and Rhino.
