Placing footprints
- [Instructor] Now that we've pushed our components over to the PCB side of things, let's take a look at placing some of these components. It's fairly simple and intuitive and all my navigation tools here are the same as they were on the schematic side of things. But really at this point, it's really just click and drag, and using grids and so on. You see my main chip here, so I can just click and drag this. Notice as I click and drag it I see all of the rats nest coming along with it, so essentially those are all the temporary connection points showing which pin is connecting to which pin and so on. But I just click and drag to move my component. And let's say my first couple components that I will place not on the radial, or polar, grid. So maybe I'll just turn that off. So again, I'll jump into my grids here, and I'm just gonna turn off my polar grid for a second here, or hide it. And I'm back just to the Cartesian grid there.
