Positioning holes in 3D
- When using the Hole Wizard I have the ability to pre-select a face to draw holes or create holes using the Hole Wizard on. Click on the Hole Wizard; let's go ahead and choose a tapped hole. I'm going to choose a quarter 20 thread and my condition I want to go is half inch thread. Click on positions and anywhere I click is going to place a hole. If I want to turn that off again, just turn off the point command. I can then click and drag these holes around and position them wherever I want. Click OK, and there you have it. But, if I wanted to add holes to multiple faces at the same time, Solidworks Hole Wizard does have a built in feature called 3D Sketch which will allow me to do so. Let's go ahead and delete this feature here. I'm just hitting delete on my keyboard. Click OK and I come up here to Hole Wizard; let's choose the same type of hole and go to positions.
