Question 3: Trimming surfaces
- [Instructor] Question three of the sample exam is testing our knowledge of using the trim surfaces tool. So they're asking us here to trim the surfaces of the end of the mouse, and we're looking for a five degree, while keeping the length of the mouse as shown in the image. Measure the top surface, and they're asking us for the surface area of that entire top surface. So up here is the picture, and yeah see five degrees, and it's 115 from the end. Here is the top surface, right so they're only looking for that top surface there. Okay, so, jump back over here to SolidWorks, and here is our mouse. And let's go ahead and look at the front plane. I'm going to go ahead and create a sketch on that front plane. And let's look normal to it. Now, let's create a construction line from the end of the mouse, this way, and bring it over here. And let's go ahead and add a dimension here of 115 right. (keyboard typing) Okay.…
