Question 6: Using equations in the BOM

- [Voiceover] On question number six of the sampler exam we're asked to take the bill of materials we already been working with in the previous questions. Add a new column called total cost, and create subtotals in that column, and then then total cost at the bottom and sum everything up. So that's what we're going to do. If you click on the next page here you can see those are what we're being asked to do and then figure out what that total cost is. Alright, let's jump over to SolidWorks. You can see here let's go ahead and add a new column. So right click here and say insert column to the right. And I don't want to assign anything here. I don't need anything. I want an equation. So click on that top category again, and notice we got this sigma for equation. Go ahead and click on that one there, and let's go ahead and create that equation. So as far as the functions, we don't want any F's so how about custom properties. Hey, there's costs. That's probably useful to have so let's go…
