- Most SOLIDWORKS users already know how to add relationships, but let me show you a trick that might make it a little bit quicker. Now traditionally what you do is select the first entity, hold down Ctrl, select the second entity, and then let go of the Ctrl key, and then you get this thing that pops up, which gives you the options of making something tangent or fixing it or whatever. But what you might not know is you can actually just click on the point itself, click on that point, and you get exactly the same thing. You can click on Make Tangent right there just by clicking on the point. Same thing over here. Traditionally you would choose this line here, hold down Ctrl, select the second entity, let go of Ctrl, and then you get the option of all these different relationships you can add. But we can do exactly the same thing by just clicking on the point itself. Click over here, choose Make Perpendicular, and there…
