Remeshing the revised model
- [Instructor] The geometry splits have been created, and now it's time to create the analysis study and carry out the meshing operation. So we click on the Simulation tab. Click on Study Advisor, click the dropdown for New Study. Just check to see that it's a static analysis, that is the default. And we rename this to 321 Method. Check OK. Now we can right mouse click over the model name, con_rod_advanced_10. Choose Apply Edit Material. Let's just review what libraries we've got available for material, and the one we want is the one we created previously, which is Course Materials. The category is steel, and from that, I choose the 4030 forged steel. Hit Apply, and close that down. Now we can see 4030 forged steel has been applied to our part here. Right mouse click on Mesh, and choose Create Mesh. Open up mesh parameters, check that we've got the standard mesh selected here. If we hover over here, we can see the global size icon, and we want to set that to .2. Click OK, the mesher…
