Replace a part in the assembly
- [Lecturer] One of the questions you may see on the exam is replacing one component with another component. Now more than likely, these components are going to be fairly similar so let me show you how that basically works. So if you look at this component right here, I'm going to go ahead and open that up, here's the basic configuration of that part. Now I also have the B configuration of that same part and we've added one more stiffening rib here in the part, and I want to swap out the newer component into the assembly so to do that, head back over here to that assembly. Now you can see the first component here does have a fixed relationship denoted by that little F in the front there, as well as that coordinate system is defined on that first corner so we want to make sure we're reattaching all the mates and putting the new component in the exact same location.
