ScanTo3D: Mesh Edit

- [Instructor] If you're using the Scan to 3D add-in for SOLIDWORKS, you have access to the Mesh Edit tool. And it's a pretty cool and easy tool to bring in, rotate, and align your model. So a lot of times when you bring things into SOLIDWORKS, they might not be aligned to your origin or your planes, and this tool will allow you to easily do that. So I do want to refresh how to bring a part in to Scan to 3D. So if you just open it normally, it will not be in Scan to 3D. You actually have to come down here and choose, instead of just a regular SOLIDWORKS file, which it defaults to, you have to come over here and choose Scan to 3D Mesh File or Point Cloud, so either one of these things will bring in the file. And then click on that STL file. And notice, if I just choose a regular SOLIDWORKS file, I still have the ability to choose STL files as well, but if you import an STL file it will not be in the Scan to 3D, so I want to…
