- [Narrator] Sensors have been in SOLIDWORKS for quite a while, but more than likely you're not using sensors or didn't even know that they're actually there. Now sensors can monitor certain properties of a part like the weight of the part or maybe a dimension and if your model goes either above or below that value, you'll get an alert. So let me show you how that works. Right up here you can click on sensors under evaluate, or right over here we also have sensors. So either one of those, click on that. My first value here is mass properties. I also have simulation data, dimensions, measurements, costing data, and so on. So mass properties a pretty simple and easy one to apply. So you're saying hey, what is the mass properties of this part right here? And you can see over here it 12 pounds currently. Now you might set an alert that says, okay if the weight of this projectile gets over, let's say 13 pounds, that we'd like to get an alert. So that way you're monitoring the weight of the…
