- [Instructor] Now that we've taken a look at variables, constraints, and running these results, now we can take it a step further with looking at goals. Now before we get started, goals and the optimization is not available in SOLIDWORKS Standard or Professional. It will be available if you have a simulation package or with SOLIDWORKS Premium. Now we will take a look at this L-bracket, and we'll take a look at setting up our goals. Goals are important for our study because we can tell the system what we're actually looking for. Now the constraints we can monitor. We can say we want to have the mass between a certain amount. But then the ultimate goal is maybe we want to go ahead and have the least amount of mass in our study. So then this will actually go through the different scenarios and give us our most optimal solution. So if we have 100 scenarios, we might not want to go through every single scenario. We…
