Simplify utility
- [Instructor] If you're having performance issues and just need to simplify a model so that you can get it through some analysis or some kind of large design review, you may want to use this simplify feature that's available from the SOLIDWORKS utilities. If we go up to the tools, go to the drop down, do Find/Modify, we now see Simplify. This feature is going to give us the ability to look through our feature tree and simplify it down to a more basic volume or set of features that'll be lighter weight and easier to be handled by assemblies and more complex designs. So I'm going to go ahead click on this. By keeping the simplification factor at one, that's the maximum simplification, if you go down to .1 or lower, you're going to the other end of the spectrum so you're not going to simplify it very much so we're going to keep it to 1.0. You can do it by feature parameter or volume based, we're going to go by the features in the feature tree and go ahead and click Find Now. You can see…
