Sketch relations
- [Instructor] In this video I wanna focus on Sketch relations and how that affects file references when dealing with parts inside of an assembly. Now this first part I created is just a simple boss using typical sketch features that we all know. Just circles, arcs, and a couple of lines. But this second part is completely built off the geometry of the first part. So what do I mean? To start, if we look at this sketch plane, it's actually the front plane of this part. Then if we look at the sketch feature itself, so I'm gonna go ahead and edit the sketch, I've used the Convert Entities tool to convert the exterior circle and all of the interior bolt holes, we'll call them, to create all of that geometry. I then extruded and made the simple extrusion out through the back end. Now if I go ahead and change this first part, so in here I've actually got a pattern that I created.
