Split Line

- [Instructor] Creating a split line on a surface is not a very difficult problem. All you have to do is have a surface and a split line that'll intersect with it in one of its directions. So for this example, we're going to do a projected split line. So I'm going to go up to Insert, Curve, Split Line. I have it on projection right now, and I'm going to select this sketch first, and I want to pick the whole sketch so I'm selecting it here from the side drop-down. And then which face to go on? I'm going to select this top face of the surface, and then I'm going to select Single direction. And you'll notice the arrow is going down. And I'm going to go ahead and click Okay. What you can see is it's projected this sketch down onto that surface and made it possible for me to select different parts of this single surface. It's still one surface body, but it's split up now into two areas that I can select and use for different operations. As I update this surface and change its shape, the…
