System options, units, and templates
- SolidWorks has a whole bunch of different system options, units and templates that can be changed and I want to show you basically how to do that. Now right up here on my screen I've got this, you know, basically a kettlebell shape here, and I've got this revolve let's go ahead and edit this sketch and inside of here, you can see that these units are in inches, right? And notice down here at the bottom of the screen, you have this IPS and if you click on that and you can switch to a different unit system. All right so here's millimeter gram second and so on so you can easily switch those values. So if I were to switch over here to milligram second, I notice it changes over here I have to go back into that sketch, open it up and now those units are in millimeters, right? So pretty easily to switch between those two depending if you're working in metric or English and you can switch back and forth as you go through…
