Thickness Analysis

- [Instructor] Whether you're working in SolidWorks on molds or other designs, sometimes, material thickness comes into consideration and needs to be handled accordingly so you don't go too thick or too thin on a specific feature. For that, we have the thickness analysis tool which can be found right here, but it can also be found just by searching if you type in thickness, and click on the show command location, you'll see it right here. And also under the tools, thickness analysis. All right, we go ahead and turn this on and in here, I have a default of 0.25 inches set. Now this is going to show the regions that are thinner than that. I also have the ability to show thick regions, as well. So I'm going to do that first. Leave full color range on, keep transparency. You see the scale down below and go ahead and hit calculate. Now that the processing is done, we get a graphical layout here showing us the areas in the brighter red region that are thinner than 0.25 and in the blue…
