Time study
- [Instructor] A time study is a great way to optimize the runtime on machining a part. Now a lot of times it's hard to tell exactly the best method for machining something. So the best way to do it is to copy that operation, try a few different options, and see which ones can get you the best time. So let me show you how to do that. First thing's first. I have this adaptive clearing routine here we've added to this side of the part here. And I'm going to go ahead and just duplicate that. So I'm going to right-click on it and come down here to duplicate, so now I'm doing that operation two times. So I have adaptive clearing three and four, both doing the same exact operation. Now let's go down here to adaptive clearing four and edit that operation. So down here, I'm not going to change any of the chains or the stock, because we want to be removing the exact same material.
