- [Instructor] A lot of times when we open up drawings and have issues, what we've done is we've broken our file references and SOLIDWORKS isn't able to find the part views or assembly views that you are pointing to originally. In this case, what I've done is purposefully moved the file that I'm referencing to a different folder to purposefully break these views, so now I'm gonna go ahead and correct it. The way that I typically like to do it is just close out of this altogether and start from the Open Dialog box. So I'm gonna close out, go to the Open Dialog box, select the drawing I was in and go to References. So it's looking for this Example 1 part in this folder. But it's not in there. So I'm gonna double click on here, go to my Desktop and locate that file that I know is there. Update that file reference, and then go ahead and open up the drawing. Now you can see everything's happy just as it was before. If I save that now, those file references are locked in. You can also go…
