Turning parts invisible
- [Lecturer] So I wanna talk about turning parts invisible and how that affects your animation. You wanna think in terms of a script. You wanna start with parts visible. Select the time when you want the part to become invisible. Right-click up on the appearance under the part to become invisible, and select hide. And then calculate to compile the animation. And then, run the animation to see if it works the way you want. So the idea is, you normally wanna make a part invisible in order to reveal what's inside the box, or how a motor's working inside of an engine. How piston is moving. So, it's a way to kind of reveal what's goin on behind something. And it allows the viewer to focus just on the parts that you're interested in showing. Let's look at how we would do that. So here we have our box. And let's say, we wanted to zoom in and look inside at the PC board. So, I've might want to have a top view of the PC board. (computer mouse clicks) Like that. And I might wanna save that view…
