Understanding hole types and standards

- In this video, we're going to be going into a little bit more depth on understanding the different types of holes that the Hole Wizard can produce. Let's go over here to the Hole Wizard feature that we have in our Feature Manager. Click on Edit Feature and then come down here and take a look. So the standards are what unit we're going to be using so if you're using a metric screw, you would click on ANSI metric, and then you choose what style, or M5 or M8 or whatever style or size of a hole you'd like to use. We also have the option for the type. So each type has a certain standard, or ANSI standard that it might be using. So you can see here as I flip through these, or scroll through them, each one has its own style of hole and it's own standard that it's using. There's a lot of different things in here if you look through this entire list. All types of different types of fasteners, and we've already got in this library, the perfect hole for all those.
