- They say relationships are hard, but I'm going to show you a few ways for working with them in SolidWorks, they'll make them a little bit easier. So right over here, let's go ahead and start a sketch on the front plane. Here's my front plane. Let's go ahead and click on a sketch. Now, I've got that sketch set up on that front plane. Now, let's go ahead and try a few of our drawing tools out. So I'm going to choose this align command right here. I'm going to click once where I wanted to start and click again where I want to end. Okay, now notice my cursor is a pencil, and directly below my little pencil cursor is the little line command showing me that I'm in the line operation. Now, notice I got this little heads up display telling me how long my line happens to be. Now, I also have these little yellow lines that happen to be protruding from the original line segment.
