- [Instructor] Splines and polygons are things that I don't normally use all that much. But they're very powerful and they do help design things that are a little bit more complex. Now, I generally don't like to use splines because it's very hard to define or dimension a spline, but if you're making a beautiful smooth curve or some type of surface, they definitely can come in handy. And SolidWorks has a lot of powerful tools for dealing with splines. And there's a couple of types of splines that we can use. So right over here is our friend the spline command. And if you look at the dropdown here, I've got the regular spline, I've got a style spline. I got a spline on surface and an equation driven curve. Now, I'm only going to focus on these first two here. So click on the spline, choose a plane. And I'm just going to click where I want to start and click a couple other places here. And I notice I get this little line…
