Use a block as a reference for a part

- [Instructor] A lot of times you might want to use a block as a reference for creating a part inside of SolidWorks. Now, I'm going to show you a method for using blocks and also being able to swap out that block for a new version. A couple examples of why you might want to use something like this might be if you're bringing some information from a circuit board or maybe there's a front panel that has some cutouts in it and you want to bring that into your design. You've saved it out from another file and you just want to use it in this part you're making right now. So you can see here I've got a couple different examples of. Here's a kind of like revision A which is on the left and then here is revision B which is on the right of some blocks that I've brought in.
