Using the Extrude feature

- The Extrude feature allows me to take a sketch and turn that into a 3D object. It's pretty straightforward to use the tool itself, but the underlying sketch sometimes will cause a little bit of an issue. So first things first, let's create a sketch. I'm going to choose the top plane, and I'm going to draw out a few shapes. I'm going to draw a rectangle. Starting at the origin, I'm going to draw out a rectangle, and I'm going to add a couple dimensions to it. This time I'm going to type in six, and over here I'm going to type in four, and there's my shape. Now I'm going to go over here to Features, and I'm going to come over here to Extrude. Now when I go to Extrude, I have a bunch of different options. One of them, I can just click on this little arrow here, and drag it up to a certain shape. Or I can type in a value here, I can type in 3.0, and there's the Extrude shape that I'm going to get. I also have this option under here for the end condition. So I have Up to Vertex, Up to…
