Using the Shell command

- The Shell feature allows me to create a part with uniform wall thickness. It's pretty easy to use, let's go up to the Shell feature under Features, click on that, and then define what the wall thickness needs to be. In this case, I'm going to type in .0625 and I'm going to choose which face I'd like to remove. I'm going to choose the bottom of this part here to remove, and I can shell it either inwards or outwards, and I can also show a preview of what it's going to look like. You can see it there. When I'm ready, go ahead and click on OK. And you can see I've removed all that material from the inside, and now it's a one uniform wall thickness part, which would be great for injection molding, or thermal forming, or any number of other types of manufacturing processes. I can also do the same thing if I have a revolve part, in this case here, I'm going to click on Shell again, and the thickness, I'm going to type in .1.
