Using the autodimension tools
- [Narrator] SolidWorks provides us with a whole bunch of great dimensioning tools, and one of the best ones is the Autodimension tool. Let's go ahead and see how that works. So under here under smart dimension, click on smart dimension, and up here at the top notice we've got this first tab here which is DimXpert, and if we switch over tab which is Autodimension, SolidWorks is going to do a majority of the work for us. Now notice it's already highlighted a couple of the lines in our drawings. Over here at this pink line is showing that this is my base line for my horizontal dimension and the purple line down here is going to be the baseline for my vertical dimension. Now if you wanted to choose those differently you could of course come down here to what you want that baseline to be or choose that dimension and just move it to something else, you can just switch that to being this line up here if you wanted to. Or come down here, delete that out of there, switch it back down to the…
