Using the exercise files

- If you are a premium member of Lynda.com, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this title. Go ahead and grab those files and download them to your desktop. I am have them saved here called Exercise Files. Let's open that up. Inside of there I've got chapters one through five, and if you open up anyone of those chapters, you can see I have each individual part here. If it starts with a 1.1, that's your starting point. If it ends with a FIN, that shows you the finished part. I'm going to use that same methodology through all the different chapters. If I go back here, I can see under downloads, I have a few of the profiles that I've downloaded off the internet throughout the course. And if you come back here to templates, I have the part, assembly, and drawing templates that I'm using inside of Solidworks throughout this course. Now you can use these or you can use your own, doesn't really matter. And finally, Weldment profiles. I've gone ahead and downloaded some of the profiles from Solidworks as well as a couple of others. Under ANSI Inch, you have a ton of different materials. You're free to use a Weldment profiles for, or you can go into Solidworks and download various different types of Weldment profiles in their entire libraries. I also have some stuff from Bosch, as well as some extrusions that we've created throughout the course. If you're a monthly member or annual member of Lynda.com, you don't have access to the Exercise files, but you can follow along from scratch or create your own assets. So let's get started and learn some Weldments!
