Using layout sketches

- [Instructor] Layout sketches allow us to define multiple components from one centralized layout sketch. Now, the layout sketch lives in the assembly itself and you can see right over here, I already have a layout sketch created. If you don't have the Layout toolbar turned on, click up here. Here's my Layout toolbar, right click anywhere, come over here to Tabs, and make sure you have Layout turned on. Inside of there, you have the layout sketch. If you don't have anything created already, now will be the time to create it, but right now, I do already have a layout sketch and notice I've got a few different lines here define the shape. It doesn't matter if they're construction geometry or regular geometry, but just draw whatever your layout wants to be on this layer. When you're done drawing it, you want to then exit out of that layout sketch, and notice it does show up right here. And right over here, notice…
