- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Gabriel Corbett, and welcome to SolidWorks Weldments. In this course, we'll look at building welded and fabricated structures all from a few simple sketches and some preloaded materials. To get started, we'll go over techniques to quickly assign planes and draw layout sketches. We'll then select materials to build from and quickly assemble a structure. Next, we'll cover corner options like miters and butt joints and the details for welding. We'll work with orientations of the materials by flipping and mirroring the shapes for an ideal fit. We will look at designing our own weldment profiles, as well as some online resources for downloading weldment shapes. I will teach you quick and easy ways to add in gussets, weld beads end caps, and then wrap it all up with documentation on drawings. Lastly, we'll cover adding in weldment cutlets and weld tables and conclude with some welding and fabrication tips and tricks. Now, let's get started with SolidWorks Weldments.
