Welcome
- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Gabriel Corbett and welcome to Steel Building Design with SOLIDWORKS Weldments. In this course, we'll look at designed a welded and bolted steel building using the SOLIDWORKS Weldments package. The tools within SOLIDWORKS make designing structures relatively easy and quick. To get started, we'll go over techniques to quickly define planes and draw the floor plan and elevation sketches. We will then load standard materials and quickly fabricate a structure. Next, we'll cover patterning the components and creating connections like bolt plates and foundations. We will work with the orientation of the materials by flipping, rotating and mirroring of the shapes for the ideal fit as well as trimming and extending of parts. We will then look at designing our own custom Weldment profiles and adding them into our building. I will teach you quick and easy ways to adding gussets, weld beads, bolt plates and holes, then wrap it all up with assembly techniques and documentation on drawings including Weldment cut lists and so much more. Now let's get started with Steel Building Design with SOLIDWORKS Weldments.
