- [Instructor] Welcome to the SolidWorks sketching course. My name is David Antanavige, CSWE, and I'm going to be your guide to all things sketching. Sketching is the foundation of all of our designs in Solidworks, whether it's starting with a simple body to make an extrusion or revolve, or it's something more complex like creating complex surface geometry, 3D sketches, or things like 2D layouts. In this course, we're going to start by looking at simple sketch entities such as lines, slots and circles, move on to specific sketch tools life the offset tool, the intersection curve, the face tool. Then we're also going to look at specific sketch settings, spline tools and what we can do for dimensioning. And then finally we're going to do a little bit of work looking at 3D sketching.
