What you should know

- [Instructor] There are no major prerequisites as this is an introductory course. However, a general understanding of computers and the Windows operating system may be beneficial. In order to open and use the exercise files, of course, the SOLIDWORKS software will be required and in order to fully understand and utilize SOLIDWORKS Animations and get the most out of this course, some very basic prior knowledge of at least the fundamentals of SOLIDWORKS may prove to be useful prior to attending this course. That being said, of course, you don't have to be a SOLIDWORKS expert or even a SOLIDWORKS user as in this course we'll be focusing on the animations. Now, SOLIDWORKS Animations give us a number of additional tools and functions built specifically to help design and build basic motion and animations from our existing CAD projects. These animations could be very useful for engineering and design teams, as well as product definition and development teams to help fully understand the simple motions and movements of their products to see exactly how their products may work. SOLIDWORKS Animations may also be useful for marketing teams, sales teams and technical documentation teams to help show off the exact function of their products to potential customers, clients and vendors.
