- [Instructor] Let's extend the functionality of a paired T-test out for more than two levels of an independent variable. We can use something called a repeated measures ANOVA. Specifically the one-way repeated measures ANOVA as we'll only be doing this with one independent variable. Given this particular type of test you have to make sure that your data are set up as a time series in chronological order. Generally, there are three or more time points. Remember, if there are only two time points, you're better off using the paired T-test. Participants will perform a crossover design by receiving all of the conditions. Now, unfortunately we can't split the sample group into two like we did with the paired T-test to reduce the bias. Let's go back to our data from our paired T-test. Again our dependent variable is a 100 meter sprint time. Our independent variable is the supplement that has two different levels, the carb and the protein supplement.
