Installing Python

- [Instructor] Support for Python isn't automatically installed with the basic installation of SQL Server 2017, but it's easily added as part of the custom configuration, or you can add it to an existing installation. When I set up my SQL Server instance on my machine, I simply perform the basic install. So, let's start up SQL Server Installation Manager, and add the machine learning functionality. We can do that by coming down to the Start menu, and I've already pinned it to my Start menu here, but you can go ahead and scroll down into the Microsoft SQL Server 2017 folder, and we'll find it there. It's going to ask if I want to allow changes to the device, and I do, so I'll press "Yes". And that starts up the SQL Server Installation Center here in the "Planning" step. Now switch over to the "Installation" step, and the step that I want is the "New SQL Server stand-alone installation", or what I actually want to do, is "add features to an existing installation".
