- [Instructor] Now let's look at some examples of time series data. One that many of us are probably familiar with is stock market data. For example, in the stock market, we have at particular points in time, we have measures of the value of a particular stock. Another type of time series data we find in tide time tables. So if you're interested in knowing when the low tide and high tide will be, you can refer to a tide time table. Another type of time series data is performance monitoring data. And we see this often in monitoring software applications and servers, but it can be other types of industrial equipment as well. Here we might take measures of the amount of utilization, the power consumption at a particular point in time, or other characteristics of a machine that we measure repeatedly over fixed periods of time. Healthcare data can also be time series data. For example, if we're measuring heart rates or performing an EEG, we'll get data generated at fixed intervals that…
