- [Instructor] This concludes our course on choosing a data platform. We've talked about some of the factors that go into selecting one, such as price, usability, storage, and database design. We've talked about what it would take to actually use the database, specifically what its SQL dialect would entail and the different features that are included. And finally, we looked at some examples of different databases, some which have been standard for a while, such as Postgres and Mongo, and some which are newer, such as Snowflake. There is no one database as the best option. It really depends on what is important to you as a developer. Is it accessibility, query performance, data integrity, certain data storage? As a developer, a data platform is likely not the top priority. But this course aims to prove that even developers need to take their data platform into serious consideration.
