- [Narrator] The newest data platform we're going to talk about, Snowflake, was created in 2012. And has recently IPO at triple it's value. Becoming the biggest software IPO. Because it is a cloud data platform you don't need to actually download any service to try it. And it is accessible at it's website snowflake.com. Most other data warehouses have caught up and now offer cloud services. Like AWS it is an all-encompassing data platform. But I will only discuss the data warehouse. Similar to Redshift and pricing and multi-cluster workload, Snowflake sells itself as a low maintenance cloud data warehouse that automates DBA work and is a single source of truth. It has low cost storage with 2, 3X compression. It has data immediately accessible and also integrates with most data related tools.
