- In this video, I'm going to teach you how to use more creative registration techniques for particularly difficult scan projects that lack sufficient targeting, overlap, or that have excessive, extraneous noise, including repeating geometry. All these tools will be at your disposal within FARO Scene. Some of these techniques include correspondence, registration, iterative cluster registration, which is locking scans for repeating geometry, and then a tensioning method, which is that pruning of targets that we've talked about in previous videos. I'm going to begin here in the FARO ribbon interface, and before we get too far along in creating a project and bringing in some scan data, I also want to cover a little bit about using the classic interface to register scans. I'm not going to go over it extensively, but I'm going to switch the user interface here, and just bring in maybe one scan so that you can see a little bit about what this could look like here.
