- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to introduce you to importing external survey control data to align, or transform, your scans to real world and local coordinate systems. The first thing we need to do is to create a csv file. That's going to have the control point names here, so this is the proper format that FARO SCENE will accept. We have our control point names here. Then, you have your x, y, and z data here. That's how that's going to work. Once I have those coordinates filed by my surveyor and he has, or she has given those to me I want to save these as a csv file. I already have one in here, I'm just going to save over the top of it. Then shut down Excel. Now I can open my project here. I have one queued up, this is the gymnasium at Portland State University, special thanks to Fordis Construction for bringing this project to my company, and so we could scan it and help them with the remodel process.
