Using the measurement tools
- [Narrator] The goal of this video is to teach you how to use the measurement tools. This video will demonstrate a variety of measurement techniques to include plumb bob measurement, polar and grid measurement, and a method for obtaining sometimes tricky measurements from complex geometry. A lot of times, architects and engineers want to be able to take measurements directly from the point cloud rather than going in and trying to do it through the vector model, because the point cloud is, obviously, more accurate. So, from this we have a variety of ways to do that. We can do simple point to point measurements or object to point measurements. So, let's cover that. I'm going to zoom into the point cloud, and I'm also going to change my background a little bit. What I'm going to do is go up here to the settings, and I'm just going to change my color views to reset to what the defaults were. And, then I'll go back in here, and when I open this in 3D, by rotating back from registration to…
