Advanced filter presets
- [Instructor] Many virtual synths offer multiple filters, and at first glance it might seem that Serum should have more than a single filter, but if you dig a bit deeper, you'll find that Serum includes multi-filter presets, and some other advanced filter types, that offer innovative ways to shape sound. Let's take a look at Serum's advanced filter presets. I'll start by reinitializing Serum. Let's go up to Menu and choose Init Preset. Let's turn the filter on, and we can get at our filter types here in the popup menu, and let's go to the Multi category. So, here you'll notice about the first 12 start off with two letters, and those stand for two different filters, so L is for low pass, and H is for high pass. So, the first one would be a dual filter that includes both a low pass and a high pass filter with a 6dB per octave slope, and we've got other variants. We've got a high pass band pass, we've got a band pass noise, and a double-peaking filter. These are all dual filters. So…
