So I'd like you to start on the web, actually. There are some resources available on mDNS, first of all, at multicastdns.org, as you can see here. On DNS Service Discovery, which is very useful, at dns-sd.org, on both mDNS and Service Discovery over at Apple's developer area in developer.apple.com/bonjour, and then also they have provided the mDNSResponder source code, if you want to look at that, it's part of the open source Darwin Project and that is at developer.apple.com/darwin/projects/bonjour. That's especially going to be useful to you if you're an app developer, or an application developer, on Mac or iOS platforms and you want to learn more about how to integrate mDNS into your app for Service Discovery, very, very useful stuff there.
