- [Instructor] Installing PowerShell Core is a bit different from installing Windows PowerShell. In fact, the download isn't even located at Microsoft.com. It's located at Microsoft's GitHub repository. In fact, if I were to search download powershell core, and select the Microsoft Docs website, I would find another link that I have to follow to actually get the downloadable MSI packages. Here at GitHub I can see the latest release of PowerShell Core. In this instance, it's preview 1 of version 6.1.0. And here in the download folder we have the download files for Linux, OS X for Mac, and if we scroll down, multiple processor platforms for Windows. Now, we're running Windows Server on a 64-bit Intel platform, so this is the file that we're looking for. And I could download it here and install it, but this is a course about PowerShell, so I'm going to show you a different way to pull down that file and install it.
