- [Voiceover] When it comes to getting additional information it's always helpful to try out a command line tool because command line tools do have a way of providing more of that sort of under-the-surface level of information. We saw in our network utility that in a doing a DNS look up we really only got the most basic information that we could need which was just a forward and a reverse. Really, there's not option to do more than that there. Within Dig we can do more. So I'm going to show you how to do that forward and reverse and then we're going to do an MX look up using Dig. That will give you an exposure to three different ways of using Dig. Of course, if you want to find out how to use more of Dig you can always type man space dig and hit Return and that will open up the Dig manual page which gives a lot more information.
