What is in a zone?
- [Voiceover] So we've talked a lot about the entire hierarchy of the DNS system and how it works theoretically. We've talked about root servers, we've talked about the top-level domains, we talked about domains even. Let's talk the zone files that exist within a single domain, right, so let's sort of get this down to the one domain, and let's look inside and see what would be in that zone file that expresses information about that domain. So the first thing I want to talk about is the TTL. There's a lot of TTL information in a zone, actually, not just the default, that is the default TTL for the records, or the resource records inside the zone, but also for the zone itself, right?
